Assembled in an attic in the crumbling, post-industrial (and some might argue post-apocalyptic) wastelands of Utica, NY, mistrials formed from the vestiges of various musicians trying to stay hard, party, and let their hearts out in waves of melodic punk music. What emerged from years of Viagra-fueled, uncontrolled jam sessions and the unabashed breaking of the neighborhood sound ordinance every Friday is the business-in-the-front/ party-in-the-back, move your feet chorus machine that mistrials is today, caught between punk rock and a hard place.
